Wooohoo! A superb experience at midnight freezing chilly to see the dawn with my nice associates Richard and Tim.

An excellent dawn experience requires an unimpeded view in the direction of the dawn. The aim is at all times to reach not less than 10 minutes earlier than the dawn to benefit from the altering sky. It was chilly and windy so we have been closely dressed and all had bike lights prepared for this beautiful 12.7 kilometre climb on a quiet Jura mountain forest highway.

The climb to La Barillette is the third highest paved highway within the Juras. There’s a Swisscom communication tower and a Skyguide aviation radar tower on the high. It has an unimpeded summit view south: straight beneath is Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) and within the distance the Alps. Good!

We cheerfully climbed this beautiful highway, chatted a little bit, breathed closely so much. The hassle saved us heat.

There was a robust Bise (north wind) on the summit and we have been chilly as soon as we stopped pedalling so we have been impatient for the solar to rise. However what a terrific view: Mont Blanc was so clear within the distance, excessive above the clouds. And an orange glow.

After which the solar peeked over the Alps. I want I used to be a greater photographer and knew absolutely seize the brilliant lighting, and so forth. However the first few seconds of the solar was superb. Tim was an ideal mannequin and allowed me to yell at him as he ~~rode~~ posed.

It’s great when a loopy concept works out so properly. Thanks for the nice firm. That is my fourth dawn experience with Tim, and my second with Richard. We’ve got already begun brainstorming a very good candidate for subsequent 12 months.
